An open plan and welcoming holiday house, at Chappies you can enjoy the cosy log fire in winter and garden dining paradise in summer.

Activities At Callala Bay

Relax at Callala Bay and enjoy the pristine sand with safe swimming areas and the idyllic Wowly Creek - a popular spot for families to picnic, take out the dinghy, or walk to Red Rock whilst beachcombing at sunrise. Enjoy an assortment of activities: fishing, paddle boarding, snorkelling, dolphin and bird watching, playing with your dogs on the pet-friendly beach, marine walks and bike rides. Unwind at the bay and be entertained by the nautical seascape with its sailing boats, distant naval ships, wedge-tail eagles, and the locals spear fishing in the crystal clear waters. Follow the pathway from the boat ramp around and discover the breathtaking Callala Bay headland leading to Callala Beach. At sundown the kangaroos and possums come out, setting the scene for your holiday with nature extravaganza.

Callala Bay shops include a post office, bakery and boutique gift shop, as well as a day spa for those special pamper treats. For a night out, you can hop across to the Callala RSL Country Club, a mere 5-minute drive, or utilise the club’s free courtesy bus. Venturing just 10-minutes further afield will take you to the small surfing town of Culburra, with its cafes, Woolworths and nearby Crookhaven Heads boat ramp - another popular spot for fishing and taking out the boat. Greenwell Point and Pyree are also well worth a visit. A 20-minute drive south past fields of kangaroos will take you to the coastal town of Huskisson. Here you can enjoy a romantic evening in one of the local restaurants and live entertainment at the Huskisson Hotel.  You can also catch the ferry to Husky from Myola, where the beautiful Currambene Creek flows into Jervis Bay.

Nowra is only a 20-minute drive away, where you can stop off at Nowra Fresh and the Farmers Market to collect supplies. At South Nowra you can also take the kids to Flip Out and younger children and toddlers to Matty’s Playtime for some fun. Picturesque Berry is located slightly further afield and a must-see, with its boutique shops and monthly markets. There are plenty of other pristine beaches to explore around Currarong (and surfing spots), or further down the coast in Jervis Bay. Beecroft Peninsula and the lighthouse at Point Perpendicular are also worth exploring.
